A good portion of Brazil’s economy is supported by the export of goods—textiles, coffee, steel, soybeans, aircrafts, etc. Due to its economy a number of business owners are quickly moving to Brazil. However, Brazil’s economy is supported by a vast array of different things including industry, agriculture and labor. The official language in Brazil is Portuguese, the only country in North and South America to speak Portuguese. Many have found that by learning the local language you can experience less of a culture shock after moving overseas. If you do not already speak Portuguese it is a good idea to try to learn at least basic conversational phrases prior to moving to Brazil to make the transition a bit easier.

Also, it is important to research the different types of visas available in Brazil prior to moving to Brazil. Contact your local Brazilian Consulate to discuss the different visa types and the procedure to acquire one. NY International Shipping suggests that you give yourself plenty of time in advance to apply for your visa as processing time can be lengthy.

How to Compare the Rates of Overseas Moving Companies
The cost of moving to Brazil probably weighs heavily on your mind and is certainly something you will consider as you sift through the overseas moving companies available to you. It is important to accurately compare the overseas moving companies you are considering when moving to Brazil. NY International Shipping has found that apples-to-apples comparison delivers the most accurate results. To do this, you must compare the exact same shipping service using the same shipping volume, start and end destinations and dates for each company. This will give you a great side-by-side comparison of these companies’ rates. Though rates are important, it is important to also consider the “big picture”. It is far better to reduce your shipment or choose a less expensive shipping method than to choose an overseas shipping company simply because their rates are low.
